Job Description:
As an answering service operator, you will receive inbound calls for businesses that are closed or temporarily unavailable. In this position, you’ll take messages, assist callers with basic information, and follow scripts to help with orders or service-related inquiries.- Greeting each caller in a timely, professional manner
- Listening actively and assisting with questions
- Recording and relaying messages accurately
- Following scripts to help callers place orders or request services
Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule- due to the nature of the business, evening, holiday and weekend work is required
- Clear speaking voice and friendly phone demeanor
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Computer literacy and a typing speed of at least 35 WPM
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous call center experience is a plus but not required
- PC that runs on Windows 11 or higher
